Versatile Traffic Data Collection
The Oriux ADR-2000 Plus is a powerful and adaptable traffic counter and classifier that can be deployed as either a portable or semi-permanent unit. This makes it ideal for a wide range of traffic study applications. In its standard configuration, it supports 2 or 4 road tubes for basic classification tasks. However, its functionality can be significantly expanded with optional internal sensor modules. These enable the monitoring of up to 42 inputs through a combination of weigh-in-motion (WIM) sensors, loops, piezos, or contact inputs.Comprehensive Data Capabilities
The ADR-2000 Plus offers a wide array of data collection options, including per-vehicle records and per-lane aggregated data. It can generate binned vehicle classification based on axle count, speed, length, gap, and headway, or any combination of these. Classification schemes are highly flexible, allowing the use of the standard FHWA Scheme “F” or a custom, user-defined classification format.Rugged and Reliable Design
Built for long-term durability, the ADR-2000 Plus features water-barrier air switches that eliminate the risk of water damage due to failed road tubes. Its weatherproof housing ensures protection against harsh environmental conditions, embodying Oriux’s commitment to rugged design and long-term reliability. The unit meets stringent ISO 9000 quality standards, and each product is environmental chamber tested and inspected to ensure performance and consistency.Flexible Study Options
This advanced unit can simultaneously conduct up to eight different studies while also collecting per-vehicle data. It supports up to 4,096 bins of data, giving users the ability to perform highly detailed analysis. The type, format, and configuration of data to be collected can be either custom-programmed or easily selected through a menu-driven interface, making it suitable for both experienced analysts and field technicians.Easy Setup and Operation
The Oriux ADR-2000 Plus is designed for simple setup and intuitive operation, making it ideal for both temporary and semi-permanent traffic studies. Its built-in features and menu-driven interface allow for fast deployment as well as minimal training requirements.Flexible Storage Options
The unit comes with 2 MB of onboard memory (with 1 MB accessible for data) and offers an SD memory card option for additional storage. This allows users to collect and store large volumes of data over extended periods without concern for capacity limits.Multilane Monitoring and Custom Classification
With support for up to 42 input channels, the ADR-2000 Plus enables multilane operation, making it suitable for busy intersections and highways. It accommodates the FHWA Scheme “F” as well as user-defined classification schemes, giving agencies flexibility in how data is categorized and reported.Reliable and Durable in the Field
Built for outdoor conditions, the unit features weatherproof housing and water-barrier air switches, offering robust protection against the elements. It’s designed to operate reliably in harsh environments, maintaining data integrity as well as system functionality.User-Friendly Interface
The ADR-2000 Plus includes an integral keyboard and four-line LCD readout for easy on-site configuration and monitoring. A separate battery compartment houses the unit’s power supply, while a built-in battery sentinel helps monitor battery condition to avoid unexpected outages.Smart Power Management
The system supports solar power options for extended or remote deployments. It also features automatic daylight savings adjustment, ensuring accurate time-stamping of data without the need for manual correction.Support Software Compatibility
The ADR-2000 Plus is fully compatible with VIPER, Oriux’s next-generation data processing and polling software. VIPER supports a wide range of modern communication protocols and is designed to automate data collection and processing tasks. After data collection, VIPER can automatically convert information from one or multiple files into various user-defined formats, such as TMG, PRN, XML, and XLS. It also supports automatic data verification and synchronization, helping to ensure data accuracy and reliability. In addition to VIPER, the ADR-2000 Plus is also compatible with Vision software. Designed primarily for technicians, Vision allows for remote programming, monitoring, and manual retrieval of study data. This offers an efficient tool for field-based operations.Durable and Expandable Physical Design
Built for field performance, the ADR-2000 Plus is housed in a rugged, self-contained cast aluminum enclosure. The ADR-2000 is weatherproof and rated to IP67 standards. In addition, it provides resistance to rain, dust, and accidental submersion up to three inches. This durable design supports long-term reliability even in harsh environmental conditions. The unit is designed for functional expansion using compact plug-in modules. The plug-in modules follows the Eurocard size, and are equipped with DIN standard connectors. Electrical connections are made via rear-mounted, weatherproof UL and CSA-approved connectors. For on-site power, the unit includes an internal 6-volt, 12 amp-hour rechargeable battery. The batteries are housed in a separate compartment that is easily accessible without tools. Additional power options include an integral solar panel mounted on the lid and an internal battery charger, making the ADR-2000 Plus well-suited for remote or off-grid locations. A built-in hardware real-time clock maintains accurate time and date even during power loss and can automatically adjust for Daylight Savings Time, ensuring consistent time-stamping of collected data.Flexible Operation and Configuration
The ADR-2000 Plus serves as a portable, multi-lane automatic traffic counter/classifier, capable of operating independently in the field. Users can program and operate the unit through the integral smart keypad and interactive LCD screen, or remotely via telemetry or an on-site computer equipped with compatible software. The interface features easy-to-navigate menus that provide extensive configuration flexibility, allowing users to tailor data collection to specific project requirements. All collected data is stored securely onboard, protected against unintentional loss or deletion, making the ADR-2000 Plus a dependable tool for traffic data collection in both short-term surveys and long-term studies.FEATURES
