Oriux Signals feature ultraviolet-stabilized polycarbonate resin with a minimum thickness of 0.100 inches and stainless steel exterior hardware. Couplers are made of standard steel zinc, with an optional stainless steel variant available.

    Polycarbonate Traffic Signals

    Oriux polycarbonate traffic signals are crafted from ultraviolet-stabilized polycarbonate resin with a minimum thickness of 0.100 inches, ensuring strength and weather resistance. These signals are scratch-resistant, impervious to corrosion, and never require painting thanks to their color-impregnated material. Designed with ribbed surfaces for added structural stability, the one-piece grooved doors are weatherproof and dust-tight, supported by high-quality gaskets. Polycarbonate signals offer simple alignment with 5-degree step locking and can be installed on span wires or mast arms with universal vertical or horizontal mounting options. They also include exterior stainless steel hardware and are available LED-ready or with standard reflectors. Lightweight by design—up to 50% lighter than aluminum—these signals are easy to handle and install, especially for overhead mounting. Each unit includes a snap-out assembly, swing-out frame, and heat-resistant molded phenolic lamp receptacles that rotate 360° for optimal filament alignment. These traffic signals are pre-wired with 26-inch, #18 AWG 105°C TEW color-coded leads and quick-disconnect terminals. In addition, they accommodate up to three ¾-inch diameter cables. Stainless steel couplers are available as an option.

    Aluminum Traffic Signals

    Oriux aluminum vehicle traffic signals are manufactured from die-cast aluminum alloy for enhanced durability and corrosion resistance. The signals are finished with an electrostatically applied powder coat over a five-stage iron phosphate treatment. The traffic signals are also designed for long-term outdoor performance. Stainless steel exterior hardware ensures additional protection in harsh environments. Aluminum signal housings feature one-piece, weatherproof, and dust-tight doors with lens gaskets and integral visor rims, preventing water leakage. Reflectors are available in Alzak® for high-efficiency light distribution. Like the polycarbonate version, the aluminum models use rotatable heat-resistant molded phenolic lamp sockets, pre-wired with 26-inch, #18 AWG TEW color-coded leads and quick-disconnect terminals. These signals support a variety of mounting options, including span wire, mast arm suspension, side pole, or post-top configurations. Integral locking rings and snap-out assemblies simplify installation and maintenance. Aluminum models can also be ordered LED-ready and configured with or without visors, based on project requirements.

    Customization and Compatibility

    Both polycarbonate and aluminum traffic signals are available with various modifications to suit specific applications. Reinforced plates can be added for extra support, and the swing-out frame design allows for easy lamp or LED upgrades. Lane control variants use standard reflectors, and couplers. They are also available in standard steel zinc or upgraded to stainless steel for additional longevity.
