ABS Backplates
Oriux offers a variety of one-piece and multi-piece backplates in 1/8” and 1/4″ black plastic ABS as optional add-ons for all its vehicle signals, including 8” and 12″ signals with 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 sections in various configurations: in-line, ‘T,’ cluster, and more.
Backplates can be ordered flat or slotted (to allow air to flow through the plate). Some backplates are compatible with other signal brands such as Oriux, McCain, LFE, Old Eagle Round, Econolite, and Durasig, depending on their dimensions.

Versatile Backplate Options for Vehicle Signals
Oriux offers a wide range of one-piece and multi-piece backplates as optional add-ons for its complete line of vehicle signals. These backplates are available in both 1/8” and 1/4” thick black plastic ABS. They are compatible with 8” and 12” traffic signal heads in configurations of 1 to 5 sections. They can be used in a variety of signal layouts, including in-line, “T,” and cluster formations. Additionally, they provide flexibility for virtually any intersection design.Custom Fit and Compatibility
Backplates can be ordered in either flat or slotted styles. The slotted design allows airflow through the plate to reduce wind resistance. Designed with a 3” corner radius, the backplates provide a professional, finished look. They are compatible with several signal brands—including Oriux, McCain, LFE, Old Eagle Round, Econolite, and Durasig—depending on the specific signal dimensions.Sizing and Reflective Enhancements
For added visibility, Oriux backplates come with borders measuring 5 inches (127mm) wide for 12” signals and 8 inches (203mm) wide for 8” signals. Optional reflective tape, either 2″ (51mm) or 3″ (76mm) wide, can be applied around the perimeter of both flat and slotted backplates to enhance visibility, especially in low-light or inclement weather conditions.Durable Construction and Hardware Included
Each backplate includes stainless steel attaching screws and washers to ensure secure and rust-resistant installation. Oriux also manufactures backplate assemblies designed specifically for 2-2-1 signal clusters in 12” configurations, offering tailored solutions for complex signal installations.Mounting Configurations and Cluster Kits
Backplates are available for various mounting methods, including those used for both in-line and clustered signal setups. Options include assemblies for mast arm clusters and span wire clusters. These configurations often require additional filler strips to cover gaps caused by mounting hardware. Oriux provides these filler strips along with a complete cluster hardware kit that includes the necessary mounting screws and hardware for easy installation.FEATURES

- Options are also offered for any of the mounting methods being used for both inline and clustered signals. This includes mast arm clusters, and span wire clusters.
